Grant seals plans for new Lotte PET plant

Lotte Chemical UK has been given conditional approval for £6.7m of Regional Growth Fund (RGF) support towards the construction of a new PET manufacturing plant at Wilton – a project that is anticipated to create 55 direct new jobs and around 300 indirectly during the construction phase.

The grant offer makes Lotte Chemical UK one of the first companies to be offered cash from the three-year funding programme.

Said Mark Kenrick, Business Director at Lotte Chemical UK, “The new plant will enable us to increase capacity, increase jobs and broaden the range of products we can offer converters and brand owners.

“What’s more, because it will be the most modern technology available it will be as environmentally friendly as possible in terms of its energy and water footprint, helping to underpin our commitment to sustainability”
